SIAMESE BREED COUNCIL BREAKFAST - RESTON, VA

The annual Siamese Breed Council breakfast and awards presentation took place at the CFA Annual in Reston, Virginia on June 25th. We had a good representation of Siamese breeders from across the country and the awards and rosettes were breathtaking.

Our speaker for the breakfast was Betty White who spoke on "Siamese Reflections". A full transcript of Betty's speach can be seen here.

Thanks to all who contributed to making our awards celebration the benchmark for breed council awards presentations.

The drawing for the Susan Perkins original painting took place at the end of the breakfast. The raffle raised just over $600 for the Breed Council and the lucky winner was Cheryl Matteo-Kerney.


BREED COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL & BALLOT ITEMS

The cut-off for breed council membership applications for 2011 is August 1st. Don't forget to renew your membership if you haven't already done so. Although there is no BC Secretary election this year, you must be a council member to vote on any ballot items.

The deadline for breed council members’ proposed standard changes is also August 1st. Any proposed items must be submitted to me by that date and will be brought up for discussion on the Siamese Exhibitors' list. If there is sufficient interest and positive feedback, the item will be included on the Siamese Breed Council ballot.
